A good way to listen to virtually any radio station in the world if you have an internet connection  & wifi  is to get  yourself an internet radio. I have a 'magic box clarus' that can be used anywhere around the house if the wifi is on. Its usually on Radio 2  in the mornings but I often tune in to local BBC like Radio Leeds and Radio Sheffield to hear whats happening around my old haunts.

At my school I am trying to get an English language local news service up and running, the students and teachers would read highlights of local news once a week in a short programme.  Trying is the word as at the moment getting space on our webpage (www.institutroquetes.cat) is not too easy.

When it is up and running I will let everyone know, positive criticism would be well received.

Here? An interesting idea but of course as it is a school project it has to be put on the school web page and run from there.  We have a small studio already set up and we are all ready... waiting on the IT man.

I like the idea Nigel, perhaps you should grab some members and do the same yourself?

If you have internet radio then a more flexible way of getting it round the house is to buy a little gadget originally intended to retransmit your MP3 player to your car radio. They cost much less than 10€ (fronm Ebay). Once connected to your pc you can pick up the sound from your pc anywhere around the house on any ordinary radio.
