your local adjuntament or biblioteca should be able to tell you about their free Catalan classes and where they are held. You will have to pay for Castillian ( Spanish ) classes and they are private but I'm sure there will be some in your area. Maybe check in the local biblioteca. The Catalan classes can be quite a challenge for English speakers because generally you are in the minority with other latin based speakers ( Spanish, Romanian, South Americans etc. and Castillian Spanish is often used to explain meanings etc. and for general conversation as most of the others will already speak it! Well that was our experience anyway. Confusing or what!!
