Thanks Big Yin for the link ,I have checked Monarch out, and Ryan air still cheapest at mo for my next trip in Feb, not much in it  though and you can pay with Pay pal to avoid charges and you 22 Kg with Monarch, but still hoping for sale,s in Jan to get prices down with Ryan air, Jet 2 are cheaper as well and you get 20Kg with them, would prefer Jet2 but still all down to the cost.
Thanks again
Phil Grin

All depends on your preferred UK destination 'innit.  No use to me but I thought I'd just post it in case it was of any interest to others.

I see on the news today that Ryanair, EasyJet, Virgin and BA are petitioning the government to drop the passenger tax.

We used monarch to and from manchester and not being treated like cattle/a nuisance was very refreshing. Worth them tiny amount more. Also if I have to drive to barcelona for my flights cos ryanair abandon reus for winter then they arent getting my cash. I will travel easyjet or monarch and fill my luggage : )

There is something drastically wrong when the passenger tax and all the other airport charges are quadruple to fly from a uk airport compared to a Spanish airport.
It must be one of the few things that is more costly than in Spain !
