Does anyone know where I can get about 16 euro pallets, they don't have to be new, either for a very reasonably price or perhaps free? Thanks ! Smiley

You'll be lucky to get them free (unless they're rotten).  The going rate is about 6 Euros.  If you find a source of decent free ones, please let me know.

I dispose of 20 or so every week, they are brand new into me on a one way trip ..... downside is that they are in Oxford UK .....but if you have a trailer, van or truck coming down you can have them for free....currently the fire brigade have them for practice sessions!
(What would Les charge for a trailer full?)

€6 is a fine price, I can afford that! Where would I go to get them then?

P.S. I'm in Paüls, so somewhere on the road between Tortosa and Xerta would probably be easiest !

Only place I know is the municipal dump in Amposta.  Supplies are sporadic.  You could see if there's one near you or ask at builders's merchants.

I dare say quite a few will be going up in smoke over the next few days.  There was quite a pyre prepared on the beach at Casas de Alcanar yesterday.

They actually gave them to me for free at Gisbert building supplies near the turnoff for Jesus! I tried to give them some money but they wouldn't take it, awfully nice there!

That's useful info.  I guess we hadn't all better rush over there and abuse their generosity.  Roll Eyes

That makes a change for them.
They are usually quite rude there, and expensive too.
We along with lots of other people we know, don't go there anymore.

I haven't found them rude (yet) but they do seem to operate a three tier price system - Locals - Non local but Catalan speaking - the rest....
