Is this due to the weather at the moment or are you talking longer term?

Talking about journeys through France .....  A guy I know who lives there and runs a big forum for people in the gardening/landscaping trade has just started out on a charity run.  He's driving from Bergerac to John O'Groats on a lawn mower.  About 2,000Km.
See here.

Here's the planned route.  Don't know how rigidly he'll stick to it.

My first reaction was that it was probably humour but it obviously went straight over my head (I'm slipping).  I wondered if you might be going to UK and wanted to cheer him on.
Anyway, his final route depends on whether he takes any short cuts or encounters any scarifying experiences.  He's a bit green at this sort of thing and may be feeling a bit edging about it.  I expect it will all turf out OK in the end although it's a lawn haul.  (That'll do for now, need a lie down in my striped jammys).
Seed you later.
