That's his pension, with just two months to go, fecked then.  He must feel that he has a strong case to have risked so much.  I hope if nothing else C4 stand by him.

Wow Huh i cannot imagine what that would be like, working 26 years for a company and to lose your pension and job for speaking out, and with only  a few months left to work !!! I thought he chose what to say very carefully, and certainly did not appear  a bullshitter, keeping very much to the facts, O leary is  defiantly the "cheap airline" Dictator
maybe we should start a petition ?

Starting a petition to Ryanair would be like knocking your head against a brick wall though, especially as they are suing C4.  I just hope for the pilot's sake that he got his facts right and that C4 did too.

Lots of reading on the subject here if anyone's interested:

http://www.ryanair.com/en/news/ryanair-releases-channel-4-dispatches-letters

As far as the sacked pilot is concerned, if he knew that Ryanair were totally refuting the claims made in Dispatches, and they say they wrote to him about it, but he still went ahead and made damaging and defamatory comments about his employers, he shouldn't be surprised if he gets sacked.  If his comments on the programme can be substantiated presumably he will be able to claim for unfair dismissal and receive full pension rights?

Ok ok I ll give him some slack !!!!!!! Grin but there not the cheapest, as I proved earlier this year, remember ! but there a damm site cheaper than driving down @ £600+ in fuel + ferry costs ( i would love to drive down again, in better weather though Huh)
I did,nt realize that the pilot had been warned ? did anyone who watched ?
The pilot did either a very stupid move to speak out,or he feels very, very strongly that there are very serious failings in his company Huh and as far as I know pilots, are not usually the type to make un calculated mistakes/risks, especially when he had so much at stake !
Thanks Pondgirl for your updates,
and sorry if my grammar is poor, I've  just woke up from doing a night shift, can you all remember that, having to go out to Work,oh  you lucky people down there in the sun, hurricane winds and rain Grin
opps !!! have I just started another rant !
All in the best Possible taste
Phil
and Ian I,m back over in forty-sum days and counting Wink only for 3 weeks though boooooooooooooo

Makes you think...if these 3 'alleged' pilots were 'long standing', there couldn't have been much wrong with Ryanairs policies etc etc. No self respecting, intelligent pilot would work for a Mickey mouse outfit for very long.

On the other hand,by calling Mayday at least they got to land first......
