Barcelona has been granted that shops in the tourist areas of the city can open on Sundays between 10 - 6.
Also shops in small tourist towns have been given greater flexibility.

Just as a note, SUpermarkets Lidl and Maxi Dia both open on Sundays in Deltebre and have done so for quite some time. Some say Mercadona and Bobpreu may follow suit this summer.

Just quickly read (As far as I can in Catalan) a notice outside Hyper Simply that confirmed Sunday openings this month.Can anyone clarify,if it is all Summer or just some odd Sundays?

Carrefour and Hyper Simply are now open every Sunday in Vinaros until the 30th of September 2014.

Lidl didn't use to open on a Sunday but did last year. Not sure about this year yet. Historically Mercadonna has never opened on a Sunday however the owner is supposed to be considering it for this year.

Yes,6 days are well enough LOL    Grin  We have family arriving (& self catering) from the UK on Sunday 20th,so they may have had an opportunity locally to get a Shop in on the way up to us.Of course that depended on Hyper being open on that Sunday & TOA. Seems the Plan now fails on both   Cry   
No Probs as we will get some grub in now.   Smiley  & yes (If you were thinking of mentioning It) I do know the Sant Carlos Lidle opens on Sundays though out the Summer   Cheesy
