Spain has approved EU1.4 bl. Compensation for the gas plant closure.
Castor had to halt work after more than 200 minor earthquakes, were recorded in the area in Castellon.

Was there a public opinion in this area that the method of gas exploration/extraction was to blame for these quakes?  Undecided

So this €1.4bn is going to whom? Castor for loss of earnings/production .... or for the poor folks who had to suffer the terror of being in the middle of an earthquake .... or to the local bureaucrats who managed to negotiate this incredible sum?

Money will come from mains gas customers on their bills over several years, to compensate Castor?
