Strange telephone call.

A friend has had a couple of odd calls. Didn't answer but the number came up as 8888888. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Apparently this is the default number of Skype. If you have a Skype account and call a real phone number the number you are calling from will come up as 888888888
