	Hi. I have just received the base notices to pay for this year and have received one for tax on a scooter I no longer own. Was sold in part exchange to a motorbike shop. Should I just ignore this one or do I need to notify someone? If so who? Thanks Caz

	Tell BASE plus Traffico plus the place where you sold the scooter! Otherwise BASE will keep asking you for the money.

	I believe that even if BASE are aware of the sale they will take the money if the bike was sold this year. ie Sell the vehicle on January 2nd and you will still stump up this May but not thereafter. As per my thread about insurance it is the norm here no matter how weird and unfair it seems. If a vehicle exists they will take there cut and they don't care who from!

	Does anyone have the phone number or location of the traffic tax office I need to speak to so I can ensure, now that I have registered my car back to the uk, I dont want to be taxed each year for road tax here.

	We go to the BASE office in Tortosa, not far from Lidl. In fact going there tomorrow morning, so will find out the phone number for you. Unless there is a long queue, and I decide not to wait around.
