Had an excellent lunch today at a nearby restaurant, 15€ for 6 courses.  It was a tasting menu where you don't know what you are going to get and the price includes drinks and coffee.  Excellent value.  Don¡t expect you can get anything like that in England.  Menu was citrus fruit salad to start with and then in order, aubergine, tomato and mozzarella en cocotte, a Spanish type of cottage pie, roast half a chicken or the largest Dover sole I have seen, mint soup with vanilla ice cream and orange sections and finally tiramasu.  Fantastic.
For those of you who don't know the restaurant it is next to the petrol staion in Xerta (where the Sunday Car Boot Sale takes place).

I agree it's incredible value for money such as I've not seen in England.

Just so people know, the carboot sales are on Saturday mornings.

Agreed, apart from  two very pleasant, helpful, English speaking proprietors, there is no problem in producing an impromptu vegetarian dish.  All served in surroundings that  are pleasing ,bright and clean.
