Thanks for the reply. I was born in Bilston myself, do you live in Spain now? Or did you move to another part of the country? The reason I asked the question about the Black Country is if to see if anyone remembers orange battered chips from some of the BC chippies Grin (I'm hoping someone will know how they do it!)

i live in spain now,Masruidoms nr Hospitalet, i do remember the battered chips,they still serve them in cradley heath high street but i,v no idea how they make them, next time im home i,ll ask for the recipe!
