Sorry to hear about the issues your friend is having!

We block some ports on our end for security purposes, however all standard email ports are open. Please take a look at the following and make sure your client is set up to use standard mail ports if possible.

Incoming mail ports: 143, 110, 993
Outgoing mail ports: 465, 587 (port 25 is blocked, most email providers will offer an alternative)
